Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer (Space Systems) focused on MBSE, based in Wilmington, MA, with a 9/80 schedule that offers every other Friday off. The role requires a strong background in MBSE, SysML, and aerospace design, with eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance.

Relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 may be available. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring of staff in MBSE tools and practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13 years of related experience without a degree.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect.
• Experience in aerospace or space design environment.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance.
• CSEP or similar certification preferred.
• SysML experience preferred.
• Prior aerospace/defense sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support concept of operations development and requirements analysis, decomposition, and definition across system levels.
• Develop and apply MBSE methods and frameworks to support engineering efforts.
• Perform system modeling and simulation to assess performance and verify requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and integrate MBSE practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in applying MBSE across the organization.
• Train and mentor engineering staff on MBSE tools and best practices.
