Job summary

MBK Senior Living seeks a Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations, prepare meals for residents, and support dining services under the Executive Chef or Director of Dining Services. You will ensure quality, portion control, and adherence to dietary requirements in a high-quality dining environment.

The role demands leadership, strong communication, and commitment to food safety, with a focus on teamwork and resident satisfaction across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ServeSafe Certification required.
• Culinary training certification/degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim leadership for kitchen staff and daily operations when senior chefs are absent.
• Prepare meals per planned menus, ensure quality, portioning, presentation, and dietary needs.
• Coordinate with the Director of Dining Services or Executive Chef on menu changes.
• Maintain proper food safety, temperatures, and sanitation across kitchen areas.
