Job summary

MBK Senior Living is hiring a Full-time Sous Chef to prepare meals for residents and oversee kitchen operations under the Director of Dining Services or Executive Chef. You will ensure high-quality dining, manage staff during shifts, and maintain strict food safety and sanitation practices.

The role requires 3+ years of cooking experience, ServeSafe certification, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced residential dining environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ServeSafe Certification required.
• Current Food Handler's permit required.
• 3+ years of cooking/food preparation in a similar environment.
• 6+ months in a supervisory/lead role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen staff and manage daily workflow when leadership is absent.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus and recipes, ensuring quality and portion control.
• Assist with menu changes in consultation with senior dining staff.
• Ensure food is served at correct temperatures and properly documented.
