Job summary

Halcyon in Denver’s Cherry Creek seeks an experienced sous chef who can help design menus and uphold the restaurant’s standards of culinary excellence. You will lead daily kitchen operations, train cooks, ensure sanitation and safety, and step in for the executive chef when needed.

This role rewards attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for creating gastronomic experiences that connect guests over a shared meal.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef highly preferred.
• Excellent food preparation skills.
• Patient, understanding and detailed personality.
• Keen eye for cleanliness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Help in the preparation and design of all food menus.
• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way to meet quality standards.
• Fill in for the executive chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
• Solve issues and seize control of problematic situations.
• Train culinary team, establish schedules and enforce sanitation and safety standards.
