Job summary

Wolfgang Puck Catering is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to lead daily food production for luxury catering, corporate events, and high-profile client engagements in Los Angeles. You'll work with senior culinary leaders to translate menus into flawless execution across premiere events.

This role offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and exposure to large-scale operations with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in culinary leadership roles (Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager).
• Background in full-service restaurants, fine dining, upscale dining, hotels or resorts.
• Interest in catering, event dining and large-scale operations.
• Ability to lead by example and support a collaborative kitchen culture.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Understanding of food quality standards, production execution and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support daily food production for catered events, corporate dining programs, and special culinary experiences.
• Partner with Executive Chefs and culinary leadership to execute menus with consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
• Lead and support kitchen team members during production and service periods.
• Assist with planning and coordinating event-related food preparation and execution.
• Ensure all dishes meet Wolfgang Puck Catering standards for presentation, flavor, and guest experience.
• Help manage inventory, product rotation, ordering, and waste reduction efforts.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.
• Contribute ideas that improve kitchen efficiency, teamwork, and overall culinary excellence.
• Support onsite event execution as needed, gaining exposure to a variety of event formats and client experiences.
