Job summary

FS Food Group is seeking a Sous Chef to join Mama Ricotta’s and Little Mama’s Italian Kitchen in Charlotte, leading daily kitchen operations in a high-volume Italian-American setting.

You will mentor staff, ensure quality standards, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu execution, ordering, and inventory. The role emphasizes strong leadership, food safety, and a passion for classic Italian-American dishes, with opportunities for growth within a growing restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Previous sous chef experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Experience in Italian or Italian-American cuisine preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Lead and motivate kitchen staff during service.
• Execute and maintain high standards for Italian-American cuisine.
• Assist with menu execution, ordering, and inventory.
