Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy gastropub.
• Strong culinary skills across multiple cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Experience in staff management, training, and motivation.
• Good knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of performance and teamwork.
• Contribute to menu planning and development, creating innovative dishes that align with the gastropub's brand.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ordering of supplies to control costs and minimize waste.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the kitchen.
• Maintain the quality and consistency of all dishes served, upholding the restaurant's reputation.
• Deputize for the Head Chef in their absence, ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures within the kitchen team.
