Job summary

Mitchell's Fish Market is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. You will lead daily kitchen operations, mentor staff, and uphold the highest food quality and consistency in a fast-paced, upscale setting.

As a hands-on leader, you will manage labor costs, oversee inventories, and ensure OSHA-compliant sanitation. A culinary degree is a plus; 2+ years in a similar role is required. EOE.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of culinary management in upscale/fine-dining.
• Strong back-of-house skills: supervision, inventory, cost control, product quality.
• Excellent communication, leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Stable, progressive work history with strong work ethic.
• Graduation from an accredited culinary program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations with hands-on leadership.
• Mentor and develop kitchen staff; ensure training and follow-up.
• Manage labor and other costs through planning and execution.
• Oversee inventories and ordering of food and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation and organize the work area according to OSHA.
