Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada, is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee food preparation, presentation, and delivery across breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. You will lead a kitchen team, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knife skills and safe operation of kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of meat and fish cuts and preparation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Room Chef with daily operations and kitchen management.
• Supervise two or more team members.
• Control labor costs, process payroll, and manage scheduling.
• Order and receive products from warehouse and purchasing.
• Interview and train new hires; provide coaching and discipline as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, product rotation, and food safety standards.
• Ensure accurate recipe execution and ticket reading.
• Set up and break down kitchen stations.
• Build team morale and support guest relations with a positive attitude.
• Act as a goodwill ambassador for Atlantis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
