Job summary

Eurest in Loves Park, IL is hiring immediately for a full-time Sous Chef. You will assist the Executive Chef, cook menu items, and coordinate the activities of cooks and food-service staff to meet daily production goals.

This role requires strong culinary and leadership skills and ServSafe certification. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, with paid holidays and vacation benefits and an internal referral bonus within Compass Group USA.

Qualifications

• Great customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling and training.
• Stores food following sanitation procedures.
• Maintains proper food handling and serving temperatures.
• Keeps workstation clean and organized during service.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly manner.
• Explains daily menu items to staff and customers.
