Job summary

Eurest in East Moline, IL is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef by preparing and cooking foods and coordinating kitchen staff. The position runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, with responsibilities across production and service.

Qualifications

• Cook and/or food service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates.
• Stores food in designated areas following procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them to staff.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; informs supervisor when low.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
