Emerald Queen Casino is seeking a Sous Chef to ensure exceptional quality and guest service for patrons. You’ll train staff, prepare meals for events and banquets, and work on the line while helping develop menus under the Kitchen Manager.

Expect a full-time role with opportunities to lead and ensure strict sanitation standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, two years of dinner-house cooking experience, and a valid Washington State food handler’s card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Culinary school background preferred.
• Two years cooking experience in a dinner house.
• Experience in fish filleting, cutting, sauteing, grilling, steaming and making sauces.
• Able to saute, cook, broil, grill and steam.
• Able to handle up to 35 orders at a time; must be fast.
• Must have Washington State food handler’s card.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior guest service and quality food for casino patrons.
• Train new employees and delegate kitchen duties.
• Cook for events, banquets, and on-the-line orders.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with menu development and other duties.
• Serve as back-up when necessary and ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
