Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and municipal solar projects in Milford, CT. You will manage schedules, budgets, procurement, and utilities coordination, working with a diverse team across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in PM for electrical/construction or renewable energy and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment with utilities, municipalities, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, or utility-scale solar.
• Experience reading construction drawings and electrical schematics.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial and municipal solar projects across Connecticut (rooftop, ground mount, carport).
• Lead project kickoff meetings and establish execution plans.
• Develop and maintain schedules with critical path and long lead items.
• Manage procurement of major equipment (modules, inverters, switchgear, transformers).
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection, testing, and approvals.
• Track budgets and costs to maintain margins; review subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Submit and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract docs.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent is executed.
• Oversee permitting and inspection processes; manage project billing milestones and O&M transition.
