Job summary

Sunrun Inc. is seeking a Lead Installer to join our residential solar installation team. You will work with a crew to complete solar installation projects, guiding and coordinating fellow installers on a daily basis across homes.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork to deliver high-quality solar solutions. Responsibilities include assembling modules, mounts, and electrical components, reviewing inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe job site.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous solar installation experience required; equivalent construction or military experience may be considered.
Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a driving background check.
Compliant with safety policies and report hazards; promote safe work.
Ability to build rapport with customers and coworkers while remaining tactful.

Responsibilities

Review inventory at loading dock to ensure crew truck is stocked.
Layout and assemble solar modules, mounts, electrical equipment and tools for installation.
Apply weather sealing to roofing structures.
Assemble racking, solar modules and support structures per project plan.
Ensure a clean, orderly job site and perform site safety at all times.
Lead crew through safe, efficient installations and provide technical support.
Assist with solar battery installations when assigned.
May serve as acting Foreperson in the Foreperson's absence.
