Job summary
AT&T is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Software Reliability Engineering (SRE) Onboarding and automation team. You will drive automation, improve observability, and apply AI-driven capabilities to enhance onboarding and incident prevention.
In this hands-on role, you will design scalable onboarding solutions, maintain the observability platform, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver proactive, smarter issue resolution and client support.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering, automation, or platform development experience.
- Proficient in Java or similar backend languages.
- Experience building APIs, microservices, and scalable systems.
- Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud architecture.
- Familiarity with observability tools and dashboards.
- Strong collaboration across teams and leadership.
- Interest in AI-driven automation and developer productivity.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable automation to streamline onboarding workflows.
- Enhance and maintain the SRE Intake/observability platform.
- Explore AI-enabled solutions and Azure features to address challenges.
- Be the observability expert for early issue detection and resolution.
- Collaborate with client teams to build customized dashboards and monitors.
