Job summary

Boeing's Phantom Works in Berkeley, MO is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate space-based software systems with a focus on Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software (OASIS). An active Top Secret clearance is required, with senior-level experience preferred.

You will lead software tasks, collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior engineers, and ensure security and performance standards, contributing to national security and aerospace advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, data science, physics, or related field.
• Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in software development project leadership.
• Proficiency in Java and/or C++.
• MATLAB experience (≥1 year).
• Preferred: advanced degrees, physics-based modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of software tasks, design, code, and test features.
• Translate system requirements into software requirements and models.
• Conduct system-level risk analyses and mitigation.
• Oversee code reviews for quality and standards compliance.
• Monitor tests and address issues during verification.
• Track project and supplier performance to meet goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise.
• Interface with multiple languages and tools for integration.
