Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join Phantom Works Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software (OASIS) in Berkeley, MO. This role centers on real-time air/space software development in an Agile environment, with emphasis on interface clarity, traceability, and testability, while collaborating across teams to integrate hardware and software components.

Leadership experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, and strong C/C++ embedded software skills are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; active Top Secret clearance.
Minimum 3+ years leading software/ground systems teams.
Minimum 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps and in CM for software/hardware.
Experience with real-time embedded software (C/C++).
Experience delivering software in Agile environments with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain software architecture with emphasis on interfaces and stability.
Translate system requirements into software requirements and models with traceability.
Manage supplier/software deliverables to meet integration requirements.
Lead Agile delivery: sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and removal of impediments.
Define and enforce software integration contracts and data models.
Lead DevSecOps practices and CI/CD across dev, integration, and test environments.
Drive verification, test strategies, and defect triage.
Establish delivery metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Mentor engineers on Agile practices, test automation, and observability.
