Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Enterprise Technology Claims to design and implement solutions that enhance the end-user experience and operational efficiency. You will work across ServiceNow, AI, automation, observability, and other enterprise technologies.

The role involves taking threads from analysis and design through development, implementation, and support, with a focus on ServiceNow reporting and AI capabilities, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ServiceNow reporting/analytics, automation, workflows, integrations and related platform capabilities.
• Strong development skills with Java and/or Python/JavaScript, APIs, enterprise integrations and automation.
• Ability to apply Now Assist, AI Agents, MCP, workflow automation to improve support and operations.
• Strong problem solving across multiple technology layers to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, telemetry to improve end-user experience and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions that improve end-to-end user experience from workstation to applications.
• Build reusable capabilities to improve Run efficiency and automate support activities.
• Design and develop ServiceNow solutions including reporting, analytics and dashboards.
• Develop and enhance Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and ServiceNow AI Agents capabilities.
• Integrate ServiceNow with Salesforce and cloud/on-premise systems.
• Develop APIs, scripts, and components for enterprise-scale solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Deliver engineering work from design to production support.
• Apply DevOps, reliability, and software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product, platform, and business teams.
