Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Trip Optimizer Innovation product. The role focuses on developing new functionalities and maintaining existing ones, working with design, software, and validation engineers.

You will collaborate across Design and Systems Engineering to deliver high-quality software, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes while contributing to documentation and quality processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Proficient in software design, methods, and architecture approaches.
Knowledge of software engineering principles.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience with C/C++ software development.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high quality software products aligned with system and subsystem requirements.
Work with Design, Software, and Validation Engineers to support Trip Optimizer Innovation.
Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.
Create and maintain software design, requirements, process and architecture documentation.
Participate in code reviews and software architecture discussions.
Develop automated unit tests and contribute to the SDLC.
