Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in the United States seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Trip Optimizer® software. You will collaborate with design, software, and validation engineers to extend the Innovation product and ensure high-quality, robust functionality.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science and at least 7 years of C/C++ experience, plus strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to lead

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
Proficient in software design, methods, and architecture approaches.
Knowledge of software engineering principles.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience with C/C++ software development.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high quality software products that align with system and subsystem requirements.
Work closely with the broader business unit to ensure application development meets product specification requirements.
Perform root cause analysis and develops solutions as necessary.
Develop documentation including software design, requirements, process and architecture documents.
Actively participate in software architecture, design, and code reviews.
Execute and enhance the entire software development lifecycle.
