You will design, implement, and guide architecture across frontend, backend, databases, and distributed systems, wearing multiple hats in a small, fast-growing team. The role emphasizes low latency, high throughput, and scalable data models.

Qualifications

• Lead- or principal-level software engineer experience.
• Proficient in Go and C/C++ with a focus on low latency.
• Experience designing distributed systems and high-throughput services.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and architect Alpaca's algo trading platform for high performance.
• Write extensive code across frontend and backend, driving critical decisions.
• Ensure high availability, scalable data models, and robust concurrency.
