Job summary

Alpaca is a US-headquartered fintech company powering a global trading platform. We are seeking a Software Engineer to architect, implement, and maintain systems that support Alpaca Crypto and enable millions of users to trade billions in assets.

The role requires building at scale with defect-free delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define goals and deliverables. You will own backend services and contribute to advancing our developer-friendly infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency financial systems.
• Backend software development with Golang or similar.
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Alpaca’s crypto exchange and market-making systems.
• Develop crypto wallet, funding, and tokenization services.
• Implement backend services and web applications.
• Maintain good software quality and test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot incidents and reported bugs.
• On-call project involvement when needed.
