Spot Freight is seeking a Lead Software Engineer I to design, test, and maintain our proprietary RED software and customer portals. You will drive OO development across data layers, domain logic, and web presentation with a focus on security and reliability.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate a small team, and contribute to scalable, maintainable architecture while addressing issues and communicating progress to stakeholders. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualificações

• BS in CS or related field (4-year degree)
• 5+ years of proven experience developing web and client-server solutions
• Expertise in C# and SQL
• Experience with ORM, preferably Entity Framework and LINQ
• Technical lead experience coordinating a small team

About The Role

As a Lead Software Engineer I, you are key in the design, testing, and maintenance of our proprietary software, RED, as well as our customer-facing portals. Your goals are to make the company more efficient and provide better customer service through technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide full object-oriented development capabilities for our core business applications, including data layer integration, domain-level functionality and logic, and web presentation and availability – including security.
• Investigate and address technical issues as they arise while keeping stakeholders informed and updated with progress.
• Mentor junior resources and make yourself available to demonstrate and recommend best practices.
• Contribute to design and planning discussions from a perspective of high scalability and maintainability for our software solutions.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in CS (or related field) or similar, relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of proven experience developing web and client-server solutions.
• Expertise in the following languages is required: C# and SQL.
• Experience with an ORM is preferred, ideally Entity Framework and LINQ.
• Experience with .NET and related tooling such as dependency injection, API authorization, and repository design patterns.
• Technical lead experience including the ability to coordinate the development efforts of a small team.

Skills

• Can prioritize multiple projects, while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Can adapt quickly to a changing environment.
