Job summary

Spot Freight is seeking a Lead Software Engineer I to design, test, and maintain our proprietary software RED and customer-facing portals. You will drive performance, scalability, and reliability in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will mentor junior developers, participate in architecture discussions, and coordinate a small team to deliver robust software solutions that improve customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in CS (or related field) or similar, relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of proven experience developing web and client-server solutions.
• Expertise in the following languages is required: C# and SQL.
• Experience with an ORM is preferred, ideally Entity Framework and LINQ.
• Experience with .NET and related tooling such as dependency injection, API authorization, and repository design patterns.
• Technical lead experience including the ability to coordinate the development efforts of a small team.

About The Role:
