Job summary

Spot Freight is seeking a Lead Software Engineer I to design, test, and maintain our proprietary RED software and customer portals. You will drive OO development across data layers, domain logic, and web presentation with a focus on security and reliability.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate a small team, and contribute to scalable, maintainable architecture while addressing issues and communicating progress to stakeholders. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related field (4-year degree)
• 5+ years of proven experience developing web and client-server solutions
• Expertise in C# and SQL
• Experience with ORM, preferably Entity Framework and LINQ
• Technical lead experience coordinating a small team

Responsibilities

• Provide full object-oriented development for core business applications, including data layer integration, domain logic, and web presentation – with security.
• Investigate and address technical issues while keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
• Mentor junior resources and promote best practices.
• Contribute to design discussions for high scalability and maintainability of software solutions.
