Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer to join the Data Center Platform Engineering Group in Secaucus, NJ. You will lead software development for next‑generation datacenter systems, focusing on hardware integration and scalable architectures.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with hardware, software and manufacturing teams, and validate features before release, enabling AI-ready infrastructure and cloud-scale capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for new technology and product introductions.
• Validate new software features before releasing to customers.
• Work directly with customers to support and enable the manufacturing process.
• Contribute to a high-functioning feature team.
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver planning solutions and supporting technology.
• Contribute to scalable, durable software architectures for next‑gen datacenter systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Work with development teams and project managers to drive results.
• Travel up to 25%.
