Job summary

Nu is building secure crypto infrastructure and an AI-powered platform to give millions of customers personalized crypto experiences. As Lead Software Engineer, you will own data pipelines, integration layers, and data contracts that feed AI-driven features, while collaborating with crypto engineering, ML, and product teams to ensure safe, scalable, and compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and integration layers that connect backend/product data to AI-driven systems (context engineering, tool/function calling).
• Solid understanding of blockchain concepts and crypto products, with deep protocol integration ability.
• Experience working with customer data to drive personalization (segmentation, risk profiling, usage patterns).
• Strong distributed-systems fundamentals, designing and operating data pipelines at scale.
• Comfort working as a cross-team interface translating platform needs into data contracts and APIs.
• Awareness of risks exposing financial data to LLM-driven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with blockchain protocols and crypto systems to source portfolio, transaction, and market data.
• Design and build data pipelines turning raw crypto data into structured context for AI experiences.
• Define data contracts and interfaces with the AI platform team to support personalized crypto experiences.
• Model and reason about customer profiles to drive personalized insights.
• Ensure data freshness, consistency, and correctness for customer-facing surfaces.
• Build safeguards against unsafe or misleading outputs.
• Operate pipelines and integrations at scale with reliability for financial infra.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and AI teams to ship features responsibly.
