Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Software Engineer IV to contribute to uncrewed ground and air systems. You will work on software/hardware interfaces, integration, and autonomous control software across the development lifecycle.

The role requires strong C/C++/C# skills, Unix, scripting, and experience with robotics systems. Occasional travel and collaboration with program managers and customers are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science/engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience (BS) or 5+ years (MS) in related role, plus robotics/automation exposure.
• Experience with robotic/autonomous software development and software/hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for current and next-gen uncrewed ground and air systems.
• Lead software development across lifecycle from concept to integration and testing.
• Mentor team members and drive software components to completion.
• Interact with customers and program managers; present work at milestones.
