Job summary

Textron Systems in Maryland is seeking a Software Engineer II/III to join the Sea Systems team. You will work on autonomous surface vehicles, embedded control, and sensor interfaces across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications include a CS/CE degree with experience, knowledge of Unix, and exposure to frontend and REST/API tech. Travel up to 20% and eligibility for a Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience or a master’s degree.
• Experience with Jira and Git or Mercurial configuration management.
• Comfortable in Unix-based development environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to technical problems on Sea Vehicle products.
• Participate in software development across all lifecycle phases.
• Develop embedded control systems and sensor interfaces.
• Collaborate on a multi-functional team.
• Opportunities for leadership and individual contributor growth.
• Support offsite integration and testing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
