Zusammenfassung

Textron Systems is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems for uncrewed air and land platforms. You will develop robust structures, payload mounts, and enclosures, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to balance rapid prototyping with production readiness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant design experience in aerospace/defense or robotics, with proficiency in 3D CAD (NX/SolidWorks) and GD&T. U.S.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace/defense/robotics.
• Experience designing components for ruggedized ground vehicles, UAS, or robotics.
• Experience with vehicle-level integration, such as structural analysis and sensor integration.
• Familiar with materials, joining methods, and manufacturing processes for prototype and production.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (NX or SolidWorks) and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Aufgaben

• Develop mechanical designs for air and ground vehicle structures, payload mounts, enclosures, and actuation subsystems.
• Create and manage Technical Data Packages for prototype and production hardware.
• Produce detailed assembly drawings for manufacturing, testing, and sustainment.
• Support design transitions through build, integration, verification, and production.
• Draft technical documentation, system descriptions, and proposal inputs.
