Job summary

Thomson Reuters Corp. seeks a Lead Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design, build, and operate scalable enterprise software. You will lead RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and modern front-end stacks.

You will mentor engineers, drive API contracts, observability, security, and CI/CD practices while collaborating with product, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable, customer-facing solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing and supporting external and internal REST APIs.
• Experience building microservices-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience in public cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GC).
• Strong Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS skills and modern front-end practices.
• Experience with containers and modern deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, EF, data access patterns, API-centric design.
• Proficient with source control using Git/GitHub.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend platforms.
• Build scalable, secure, available services for customer-facing products and integrations.
• Lead microservice architecture design, API contracts, observability, and performance optimization.
• Develop cloud-native solutions with containers, orchestration, automation, monitoring, and CD practices.
• Develop frontend apps using Angular/TypeScript for web experiences.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Drive engineering excellence through design, reviews, and mentoring.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies and security throughout the lifecycle.
