JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Columbus, OH, to contribute as a core technical member of Corporate Technology. You will design, implement, and deploy trusted market-leading software in a secure, scalable way, while advancing AI-assisted development practices across the team.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across functions, and drive architectures that emphasize reliability, security, and performance at scale.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, REST Services, Spring Boot.
Strong experience writing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL.
Public cloud experience with Kubernetes and AWS; extensive ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, EventBridge, Step Functions; Terraform for infra automation.
Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale apps.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions and develops high-quality production code.
Reviews and debugs code and improves operational stability.
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architectural designs.
Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices within the team.
Sets validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
