Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Agentic AI to drive architecture and hands-on development across Java/Python stacks. You will build agentic AI on NEO, ensure secure, scalable delivery, and mentor engineers while leading AI-assisted development practices.

The role emphasizes real-time UI, multi-VM execution, and enterprise-grade security within the Data Analytics Payments team. Strong collaboration with stakeholders is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s); strong Python required.
• Experience delivering production React (Next.js) web applications, including real-time UI (SSE/WebSocket).
• Demonstrated experience leading AI-assisted software development tools with secure validation.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and debugging with non-routine problem solving.
• Builds and operates agentic solutions on NEO end to end (micro-VMs, integrations, memory layer).
• Delivers full-stack surface – Typescript/Next.js app with Salt Design System at scale.
• Develops secure, production-grade code and reviews peer work.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and reliability.
