Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join Enterprise Technology Cloud Foundational Services in Jersey City, NJ. You will lead an agile team delivering cloud-native, scalable applications on AWS, using Terraform for IaC and integrating agentic AI workflows with LangChain and related frameworks.

You will mentor engineers, drive secure coding practices, and shape multi-service architectures with a focus on reliability, performance, and operational excellence across development,

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and guiding teams on validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end cloud-native, microservices-based applications on AWS.
• Design, develop, and deploy resilient, fault-tolerant applications using AWS services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway).
• Provision, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform across dev/staging/production.
