Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City invites an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join Enterprise Technology Cloud Foundational Services, delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable environment.

You will act as a core technical contributor, building cloud-native microservices on AWS, leveraging ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3 and API Gateway, and driving infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proficient in Python/Flask/Django for microservices; front-end skills a plus.
• Strong experience deploying on AWS with high availability and DR strategies.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions and design, development, and troubleshooting across multiple technical areas.
• Deliver end-to-end cloud-native, microservices-based applications leveraging the latest technologies.
• Design, develop, and deploy resilient, fault-tolerant applications on AWS (ECS/EKS/Lambda/RDS/S3/API Gateway).
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform with IaC best practices.
• Architect and build agentic AI applications using LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or AWS Bedrock Agents.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve operational stability.
• Drives adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and promotes secure coding and automated testing.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and efficiency.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering for new technologies.
• Promptly investigate and resolve issues to prevent recurrence.
• Design scalable, secure solutions with zero-downtime releases and optimized data performance.
