Job summary

Charles Schwab Investment Management Technology seeks a Lead Software Developer to design, develop, test, and enhance secure, scalable applications in a data-centric environment. You will apply Java and full-stack expertise across an Agile team to deliver reliable solutions for the Investment Advisory group.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration across distributed teams, and mentoring engineers while improving security, quality, and maintainability of critical investment

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java software development experience.
• Design, build, test and support complex enterprise applications.
• REST APIs with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Struts, Tomcat, JSON/XML.
• Apply design principles and patterns to build stable, reusable solutions.
• Unit testing, Git-based source control, and CI/CD practices.
• Address security risks using static/dynamic testing and Java libraries.
• Experience with Oracle/DB2/MongoDB/Redis.
• Understanding of investment/trading lifecycle support.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing and enhancement of secure, scalable applications.
• Provide technical direction and mentor engineers.
