Charles Schwab's Workplace Services Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled full-stack Sr. Software Engineer (Java/Angular) to design, build, and maintain secure Java-based systems that support our critical PCIS business functions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in Java (Spring Boot), 2+ years in Angular, strong SQL Server and Oracle experience, and a proven track record delivering production systems in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Java (Spring Boot) development and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of cross-functional systems.
• Leverage AI tools to improve code quality and testing.
• Coach an Agile Java team across frontend and backend (Spring Boot, PCF).
• Ensure code quality, test coverage, and coding best practices.
• Perform code reviews and provide feedback.
• Lead PoC projects to establish reusable patterns.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive architecture decisions.
• Prepare design documents and obtain approvals from the architecture team.
• Champion security by reducing vulnerabilities and promoting reusability.
• Write unit tests for all code.
• Create CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, GitHub Actions) for PCF.
• Follow guidelines for best development practices.
