Job summary

RCG, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Developer to guide end-to-end software development and acquisition activities at a federal government site in Silver Spring, MD.

This 100% on-site role reports to the Program Manager and supports COTS/GOTS evaluation, software architecture, and SDLC leadership. You will lead a software development team, plan scope and schedules, design and deploy applications and databases, and ensure compliance with NIST and security requirements.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status and ability to complete the required government background investigation.
• Senior-level software development experience with technical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Strong development experience with C#/.NET, JavaScript, SQL, and database technologies.
• Experience with software testing, system integration, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance.
• Experience leading or providing technical oversight to software development teams.
• Experience gathering and analyzing technical and business requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a software development team responsible for mission-critical applications.
• Assist with software development project planning, including scope, schedules, implementation activities, and deliverables.
• Design, develop, install, configure, upgrade, test, deploy, and maintain systems, applications, websites, dashboards, and databases.
• Develop clear coding and implementation plans and conduct preliminary testing.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the SDLC and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead complex computing activities involving Windows, web, application, and database environments.
