Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Fort Pierce, FL is seeking a lead worker to supervise and participate in delivering social service assistance to eligible clients. Responsibilities include interviewing clients, determining need, preparing records, and referring to community resources.

You will manage food pantry inventory, coordinate Food Bank orders, process assistance applications (Food Stamps, Medicaid, ACCESS), and maintain documentation while ensuring program policies are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' experience coordinating or managing work in an office environment, preferably in the Social Services field.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in providing social service assistance to eligible clients (food, lodging, clothing, furniture, financial assistance).
• Interview clients to determine need and eligibility and prepare client records.
• Refer clients to community agencies and maintain working relationships with them.
• Process client assistance requests and related paperwork; assist with Food Stamps, Medicaid, and ACCESS applications.
• Maintain client records and follow-up documentation; manage food pantry inventory and compliance.
• Coordinate Food Bank orders and monthly reporting; ensure program policies and procedures are followed.
