Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company’s Solitude Mountain Resort seeks a Snowsports Training Supervisor for the Solitude Mountain Ski & Ride School. This full-time seasonal role runs mid-September through April and designs, publishes, and manages training curriculums, materials, calendars, and delivery on-snow and indoors.

You will lead, coach, and model performance, foster growth mindset, support daily operations, and collaborate with base area managers to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of ski/instructor and trainer experience.
• PSIA Level 2 required (level 3 preferred).
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience with resort programs such as Flaik, RTP, Workday.
• Exceptional communication skills and organizational abilities.
• Strong leadership presence and alignment with resort values.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer staff training across disciplines and ages.
• Continuously evaluate training content and methods for guest and employee value.
• Work with Risk and Safety to develop safety measures.
• Assist in publishing training materials and hiring documents.
• Lead and coordinate training on technical, teaching, and people skills per PSIA-AASI.
• Schedule and host PSIA-AASI exams and clinics; manage relationships.
• Assist with development and management of the Ski and Ride School training budget.
• Guide direction, culture, and quality with the Snowsports Director.
• Design, orchestrate, and facilitate Leadership and Trainer Training.
• Collaborate with HR on hiring and onboarding; manage performance feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.
