CBSET is seeking a Small Animal Necropsy Lead to provide daily floor leadership for small-animal necropsy operations, ensuring room and table readiness, staff assignments, training support, workflow coordination, and technical escalation.

The role emphasizes protocol-driven execution, specimen quality, and accurate downstream handoffs to Histology and Pathology, aligning with study teams to meet timelines and support business growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience supporting small-animal necropsy, pathology, or regulated lab workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate people, rooms, equipment under time pressure.
• Strong SOP, GLP documentation, safety, tissue-quality, and communication discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily small-animal necropsy room, table, equipment readiness and staffing.
• Provide training and supervision; escalate issues to ensure protocol-driven tissue collection.
• Coordinate cross-department work with studies teams, supervisors, and pathologists.
• Verify specimen identity and documentation against in-life records and study instructions.
• Conduct quality control reviews of study data and documentation for regulatory compliance.
