Job summary

Frontage Laboratories Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Study Prep Assistant to support necropsy and histology workflows, primarily preparing supplies, labeling cassettes, slides, and study materials in compliance with SOPs and GLPs.

This entry-level role offers exposure to pathology support in a regulated CRO environment, with potential cross-training into necropsy/histology technician duties based on interest and business needs, while maintaining accurate records and organized workflows.

Qualifications

• Interest in biology, laboratory science, or veterinary medicine preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Comfortable working in a lab environment with animal tissues and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs, GLPs, Health & Safety standards and department procedures.
• Prepare, label, and organize cassettes, slides, and specimen containers.
• Assist with study setup and material preparation for necropsy and histology.
• Inventory and organize slides, paraffin blocks, and study materials.
• Prepare, package, and ship study materials to pathologists or archives in GLP compliance.
• Complete handwritten and electronic records clearly and accurately per GLP standards.
• Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and supply levels.
