Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Senior Sleep Technician to join the Sleep Disorders Center. You will perform polysomnography, score studies, and generate preliminary reports under the supervision of the sleep center medical director and chief technologist.

You will lead shifts when designated, ensuring patient safety and workflow efficiency. The role requires BRPT registration eligibility and at least three years in a sleep lab, with ongoing professional development in sleep medicine.

Qualifications

• Education: High School with sleep technology training.
• Licensure: BRPT Registered Polysomnographic Tech.
• Experience: Minimum three years in a sleep lab.
• Skills: Leadership, scoring sleep studies, and BRPT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Satisfies BRPT registration within defined time frame.
• Scores PSG, MSLT and MWT per AASM guidelines.
• Generates preliminary reports per department standards.
• Acts as shift team leader when designated by chief technologist.
• Maintains quality assurance for night sleep studies.
• Calibrates and troubleshoots polysomnography equipment.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
