Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Peabody, MA, is seeking a Senior Sleep Technician to perform polysomnography, score studies, and support the sleep disorders center’s daily operations. You will contribute to high-quality recordings and patient safety under supervision of the medical director and chief technologist.

Responsibilities include leading shifts when designated, ensuring adherence to AASM standards, and participating in continuing education to stay current with sleep medicine advancements.

Qualifications

• Registered Polysomnographic Tech (R PSG T) via BRPT, BLS required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a sleep lab.
• Ability to lead a shift and to score sleep studies per AASM guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Satisfies BRPT registration requirements within defined time frame.
• Scores PSG, MSLT, MWT and HST studies according to AASM guidelines.
• Generates comprehensive preliminary reports following department standards.
• Acts as shift lead/technologist when designated, ensuring workflow efficiency and patient safety.
• Maintains quality sleep recordings and proper calibration of instrumentation.
• Recognizes artifacts and abnormal clinical manifestations during testing.
• Participates in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
