Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Sr. Skilled Technician within the Facilities Maintenance division. The role leads service requests across multiple buildings, provides technical guidance, and coordinates scheduling and resources for maintenance projects.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED with trade training, four years of skilled trades experience, and at least one year of lead supervisory background. CJIS screening is required and on-call weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• Four years of related skilled trades experience.
• One year of lead supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass CJIS background check.

Responsibilities

• Leads, oversees and participates in demand service requests across multiple buildings.
• Provides technical guidance to lower level skilled workers and assists in training staff.
• Assists supervisory staff with scheduling and planning projects and maintenance activities.
• Reviews drawings, diagrams, specifications and work orders; updates related docs.
• Coordinates parts, supplies and vendor interactions; works with contractors on projects.
