Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I for the Property Management Department to perform maintenance on building systems at Municipal Complex. Work includes electrical, mechanical and plumbing tasks with licensed staff, plus some evening or weekend shifts.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma/GED with HVAC or electrical training, two years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. Benefits include holidays, health and pension plans.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with HVAC/electrical training.
• Two years of experience maintaining HVAC and electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems with licensed staff.
• Installs outlets, replaces switches, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Monitors electrical and electronic equipment including a/c and heating systems.
• Makes minor repairs to doors, hinges and locks.
