Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Sr. Skilled Technician in the Facilities Maintenance division to lead and perform skilled trades tasks across multiple buildings.

You will supervise, mentor junior staff, schedule work, review drawings and orders, and coordinate with contractors to ensure timely completion. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, several years of skilled trades experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four years of related skilled trades experience.
• One year of lead supervisory experience.
• Must pass CJIS background check.

Responsibilities

• Leads, oversees and participates in demand service requests from multiple buildings.
• Provides technical guidance to lower level skilled and maintenance workers and assists in training.
• Schedules planning projects and maintenance activities and coordinates resources.
• Reviews drawings, diagrams and work orders; maintains logs and records.
• Requisitions parts and services; works with contractors to complete projects.
