Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems in the Municipal Complex facility. Responsibilities include electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work, with emphasis on HVAC and electrical systems.

HS diploma or GED with HVAC/electrical training plus 2 years of related experience is required, along with a valid driver’s license. Benefits include holidays, health insurance, PTO, and pension.

Pay Range: $23.92 - $26.57/hr.

Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

A Facilities Maintenance Technician job is available with the City of Fort Worth Property Management Department within its Facilities Division. The Facilities Division provides City Departments with world class facility planning, design, construction, renovation and maintenance services. The Division is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for building equipment maintenance, repair and installation at Municipal Complex facility.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in HVAC, electrical technology, or a related field
• Two (2) years responsible experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and electrical systems
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in large commercial (10,000 sq ft +) buildings preferred.
• Holds Certificates in related fields of profession: Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Building Controls
