Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to shape enterprise resilience. In Infrastructure Platforms, you'll design, automate, and improve backup, recovery, and data-protection services, guiding senior stakeholders and mentoring engineers.

Remote collaboration with cross-team delivery is expected while maintaining strong security and auditability. You will implement cloud-native, API-driven solutions and use AI for infrastructure analysis with strict data-sensitivity

Qualifications

• Must have advanced knowledge of site reliability engineering concepts
• Experience building distributed systems and cloud-native apps
• Strong background in monitoring, telemetry, incident management

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed systems, platform services, APIs, automation frameworks, and cloud-native apps supporting backup and recovery
• Apply reliability metrics, observability, and incident-learning to improve operations
• Lead architecture for backup, recovery, and data protection across hybrid and cloud environments
• Drive automation-first, API-led, self-service capabilities to reduce toil
• Build cloud-native solutions with AWS services, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software practices
• Design security controls, policy guardrails, automated validation, and audit-ready evidence
• Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to assist infrastructure analysis with proper validation
• Provide telemetry and reporting for backup health, compliance posture, and recovery readiness
• Mentor engineers, influence stakeholders, and manage dependencies across teams
