Job summary

Trueline is seeking a Site/Civil Superintendent to lead field operations for complex commercial exterior and infrastructure projects in the New York market. This hands-on leadership role requires ownership of crews, schedules, quality, and day-to-day execution on site.

The successful candidate will read and interpret drawings, develop look-ahead plans, coordinate multiple teams, and maintain safety and productivity while protecting schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a superintendent or field-leadership role.
• Experience in site work, concrete, civil, hardscape, landscape.
• Independently manage field operations, crews, and subs.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Develop and use project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations across active projects.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and deliveries.
• Maintain short-term schedules and look‑ahead plans to keep work progressing.
• Manage manpower and monitor labor productivity against needs.
• Ensure work meets drawings, specs, schedules and quality expectations.
• Oversee site utilities, drainage, hardscape, landscape, and related scopes.
• Read RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings; coordinate with PMs on budgets and priorities.
• Conduct regular field inspections focusing on safety, workmanship, and progress.
• Identify constructability issues and delays early; implement fixes.
• Drive punch-list completion, turnover, and project closeout; ensure accountability.
